And just like that, Q1 of 2016 came to a close! Time really does fly when you're having fun (working your tail off so you live to see tomorrow). Here's a little recap of events at Neuvokas in March:
CIGMAT Conference Wrap-up: To start off the month, Neuvokas made an appearance at the 21st Annual CIGMAT (Center for Innovative Grouting Materials and Technology) Conference on March 4th in Houston, TX. The event highlights the latest opportunities and developments in many big cities including Houston. This years' presentations included current and future projects and energy needs for 2016 and 2017. The special feature of this conference was the four panel discussions on critical issues facing the construction, maintenance and sustainability of various civil infrastructures in the urban environment.
Michigan 50 Companies to Watch 2016: In other news, we were finally able to let the word out that Neuvokas was chosen as one of the "Michigan 50 Comanies to Watch" for 2016 by Michigan Celebrates Small Business. MCSB defines their pupose: "MCSB brings together the resources of collaborative partners and supporters so that they may raise the profile of small businesses in Michigan, build a network of entrepreneurial companies, and tell the stories of successful, growing Michigan entrepreneurs."
"It is an honor to be recognized alongside some of Michigan's most innovative companies," said Erik Kiilunen, CEO of Neuvokas Corporation. "We are proud of our progress as a company and are working hard to grow Neuvokas even more in the coming years."
The winners were selected by Michigan-based judges from the banking, economic development, entrepreneurship development, and venture capital communities. They will all be recognized at the 12th Annual Awards Celebration on May 5th, at the Lansing Center. Congratulations to all of the other awardees, we are excited to meet with you all at the event!
