Matt P. Kero

Director of Engineering & Manufacturing

Mr. Kero received his bachelors of science in Mechanical Engineering and BioMedical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2006.

Mr. Kero began his career with Emerson Process Management of Chanhassen, MN.  At Emerson he was a Design Engineer in the New Markets division while concurrently working in all aspects of product and market development.  This was the beginning of a career in product and process development and in this capacity, he was able to witness both the pros and cons of numerous large company processes and cultures. 

In 2008 Mr. Kero joined Century Inc.  During his tenure at Century, Inc. he oversaw and was responsible for all aspects of their metal matrix composite program.  This program developed a composite brake drum for heavy truck and military applications that was ultimately sold to a major manufacturer.  While working with Century Inc. Mr. Kero authored and presented multiple technical papers on aluminum matrix composite brake drums and was awarded multiple patents on metal matrix composite brake components.  

Mr. Kero started as the VP of Engineering at Neuvokas Corporation in 2013.  As the first employee of Neuvokas, Mr. Kero has continued his focus on new product and market development.  At Neuvokas, Mr. Kero has lead design and manufacturing efforts of multiple high-speed composite rebar manufacturing lines that have established new industry milestones for composite rebar processing speed.  As Neuvokas has transitioned from a development to a production scale manufacturing company, Mr. Kero’s responsibilities have expanded to Director of Engineering & Manufacturing where he leads the organization’s 24/7 manufacturing, receiving, shipping and engineering functions.  

Mr. Kero resides in Calumet MI with his wife and nine children where he enjoys all things outdoors and spends a lot of time with his kids hunting, fishing, and trapping.
